Alex Baroffio ’14 finished his career as one of the most dynamic offensive players in W&J football history.
He established the school records for a W&J wide receiver with 269 catches and 3,203 receiving yards. Following the 2013 season, Baroffio was selected to the American Football Coaches Association and D3football.com All-America teams.
A three-time First Team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference selection, Baroffio is fourth in school history with 30 touchdown receptions. His 91 catches during the 2013 season is the third-highest, single-season total by a W&J President and ranked ninth among all NCAA wideouts that year. Baroffio also was a threat on special teams as he compiled over 1,300 yards in punt and kickoff returns. His 1,848 all-purpose yards during his senior season ranked 18th among NCAA Division III players. W&J claimed the 2012 and 2013 PAC championships with Baroffio as a member of the squad.
In the 2012 regular season finale, Baroffio caught three touchdowns during a 31-14 victory at 13th-ranked Waynesburg. He totaled 11 receptions for 144 yards, including a 62-yard score late in the third quarter.
In 2013, Baroffio came up clutch once again in a big game with three touchdowns and 119 receiving yards during a 45-21 win over Thomas More. In the first round of the NCAA playoffs at Mount Union, Baroffio helped the Presidents battled top-ranked Mount Union on the road with a 12-catch, 131-yard, 3-touchdown performance against the eventual national runner-up
