Jennifer (Pergola) Kirchner ’06 started 77 consecutive matches for the W&J women’s soccer team from 2002-2005.  She made her impact felt immediately by assisting on a goal 32 minutes into her career and then tallying the first of her 59 career goals 20 minutes later. Pergola ranks fourth-overall in school history in career goals.

Kirchner finished her freshman season with 15 goals and five assists for 35 points.  She was selected to the First Team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference squad, an award she earned all four years of her career.  Kirchner was just the second President to accomplish this feat and remains one of three W&J players in history to record four, first-team awards.

As a sophomore, Kirchner netted 19 goals, including four game winners.  On Sept. 10, 2003, Kirchner fired home the overtime game winner in a 3-2 triumph over La Roche.

Kirchner, who was selected to the PAC’s 60th Anniversary Women’s Soccer Team, finished her career second in school history in goals and points (142) and third in assists (24). Today, she is fourth in career points and seventh in assists. She established the school record with 15 game-winning goals and was the program’s first All-Great Lakes Region honoree in 2005. Kirchner also produced hat tricks four different times throughout her career.

She helped lift W&J women’s soccer team success to greater heights each year.  The 2003 team set a school record with 11 victories, a win total which was matched during her junior year in 2004.  The 2005 squad earned a spot in the ECAC Division III Tournament, the first postseason bid in W&J women’s soccer history.  In all, Kirchner and her classmates won a school-record 39 matches as Presidents.

Kirchner has worked at One Call Care Management for the past 12 years. Her and husband, Brian, are the proud parents of daughters, Kylie and Kenzie.
