Rachel Murphy succeeded in placing first in all seven of the events she competed in last week, leading the W&J women’s team to two wins. In the Presidents’ PAC opener against Chatham Murphy posted a time of 2:21.22 in the 200 IM, 1:03.76 in the 100 backstroke, and was a part of the 1:57.12 victory in the 200 medley relay, helping give W&J a score of 123 to Chatham’s 105. In the nonconference meet at West Virginia Wesleyan Murphy once again assisted in the achievement of first place in the 200 medley relay (1:57.03), timed 1:13.84 in the 100 breaststroke, took the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:39.73, placed first in the IM for the second time in the week with a time of 2:21.53, giving the Presidents a 138 lead over West Virginia Wesleyan’s 88.
