Through hard work and talent, you have earned the opportunity to wear a Washington & Jefferson College Presidents uniform. You join a tradition of excellence at Washington & Jefferson College and we are excited to watch you display your talents on our athletic fields, courts and pools.
As a NCAA Division III intercollegiate student-athlete, you have a unique opportunity to pursue athletics, academics, and campus life. It is our hope that you experience intellectual, emotional and social growth while representing our well-respected institution.
With the opportunities that you will enjoy as a student-athlete, you also have an increased responsibility. Wherever you go, you are now a representative of Washington & Jefferson College and the athletic department. Your actions on and off the field/court/pool reflect upon the college, your teammates, and your coaches.
Washington & Jefferson College is dedicated to providing a top-flight student-athlete experience and we stress that wearing the Presidents’ uniform is a privilege, not a right. This handbook is intended to give you important and pertinent information to help you succeed as a student and as an athlete. It should answer many of the questions you may have. However, the door to my office (Salvitti Gym 324) is always open to assist with any questions or concerns.
In general, student-athletes who participate on one of our 28 NCAA Division III varsity programs will be expected to compete under a model that emphasizes integrity, good sportsmanship and ethical conduct. Our main goal is to provide our student-athletes with the best possible experiences, both on and off the playing field.
I wish you the best of luck during the 2025-26 academic and athletic year!
GO PRESIDENTS!!
