Blanco captured Most Outstanding Wrestler honors thanks to his victory in the 174-pound flight at the 50th annual RIT Invitational. Blanco led W&J on the day and earned 23 team points for the Presidents. The junior won by fall in the first (4:52) and second (3:15) rounds over Nathan Sisler from Alfred State and Marquan Holmes from RIT, respectively. In the quarterfinals, he claimed a 16-7 major decision versus Kevin Merle from Scranton and then grinded out a 5-4 decision in the semifinals against No. 10 (NWCA)/No. 8 (d3wrestle) Troy Seymour of SUNY-Oswego before scoring the bracket victory with a forfeit in the finals.
