Kerr tossed a gem on Monday in W&J's 6-4 win over Benedictine, where the righty worked 7.1 innings and scattered five hits, while striking out eight and walking none and holding the Eagles to a .185 batting average. It was his first start of the season and he tossed 99 pitches before being lifted with an out in the eighth inning. He struck out the final batter of the second inning to begin a string of 15-straight outs, including 16-of-17 through the seventh inning. Two of the three outs in the fifth and seventh innings came via strikeout.
