Nick Carr became just the second wrestler in school history to compete for a NCAA Division III wrestling championship on Saturday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 

Carr entered the 165-pound national tournament as the No. 5 seed won three matches before falling to Cole Welter of Wartburg in the championship match by a 5-3 margin. 

Carr, who was the first wrestler in 33 years to wrestle in a NCAA final, finished the season with a 12-1 record.  He was the champion of the Baldwin-Wallace Summa, PAC and Mideast Region tournaments.
