West rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries in his debut as the starter at running back for the Presidents as W&J knocked off No. 23 St. John Fisher to open up the 2017 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 ... His rushing total was the most for a W&J RB in a regulation game since Ryan Ruffing ran for 231 at Carnegie Mellon on Sept. 19, 2015 ... His 52-yard TD jaunt in the third quarter was the longest for a President since Ruffing ripped off a 63-yarder at Thiel on Nov. 8, 2014 ... West's seven-yard score in the fourth quarter was the game-winning score, putting W&J ahead, 30-27 ... The sophomore also caught three passes for 27 yards and returned a kickoff for 30 yards to finish with 211 all-purpose yards.
