In his first bit of action as a W&J wrestler, Walker won the 174-pound weight class at the Waynesburg Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 6, to help the Presidents to a fourth-place finish ... after earning a bye in the opening round, Walker posted a 20-5 technical fall over Nick Tommas of Case Western Reserve followed by a pair of decisions, 11-4 over Mount Union's Anthony Rupert and 7-5 against NCAA Division II Alderson Broaddus's Gino Sita ... he clinched the 174 title with a 9-1 major decision over Wisconsin Eau Claire's Tyler Vogt.
