Vita was nearly unhittable for the Presidents last week in a pair of appearances (one start), surrendering four hits in 11.0 innings with a .118 opponents batting average ... His first outing was in relief on Monday against Thiel, working the final 3.0 innings and surrendering just one hit and needing just 18 pitches to retire the Tomcats ... On Friday, he started and worked the first 8.0 innings of a combined shutout versus No. 22 Marietta, giving up just three hits while striking five and lowering his season ERA to 0.41.
