Jason Rhine

Jason Rhine enters his first season as the Assistant Women’s Basketball coach at Washington & Jefferson College.

Prior to becoming the assistant women’s basketball coach at W&J, Rhine served the past two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at NCAA Division II California University of Pennsylvania. During that two year span the Vulcans compiled an overall record of 40-18, while achieving a trip to the “Sweet Sixteen” of the NCAA Tournament, and also finishing third place or better both seasons in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

A testament to his ability to recruit, Rhine secured commitments from fourteen players in two seasons that included two Division I transfers, a Division II transfer, four Junior College players and an International player. In addition to recruiting, Rhine coached a conference freshman of the year in Miki Glenn (2013-14), while also coaching four all-conference players, two conference scholar athletes, one all-region player and conference player of the week honors achieved nine times by four different players.

Rhine began his collegiate coaching career at Keystone College as an assistant coach and academic/recruiting coordinator from 2010-2012 after playing two seasons at Keystone prior. During that time, Keystone set five different school records including most wins in a season for the conference. Rhine also secured commitments from fifteen players in two seasons, guided nine players to conference all-academic honors, and had two players receive all-conference honors.

A native of Palmyra, PA., Rhine earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management with a minor in Leadership from Keystone College in 2012. He recently completed his Master’s Degree in Sport Management with a Concentration in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from California University of Pennsylvania.
