BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Presidents upset bid fell short in a 3-1 (21-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-17) loss at Geneva in the Presidents' Athletic Conference quarterfinals.
With the loss in its first postseason berth since 2010, the sixth-seeded Washington & Jefferson volleyball team ends the 2014 campaign with a 14-12 overall record following an 8-10 PAC slate. Geneva, the third seed, improves to 23-9 overall and will play second-seeded Bethany on Friday at top seed Thomas More.
Lindsey Bennett tied her career high with nine blocks in her final collegiate match. She also posted seven kills and a .227 hitting percentage and had one of W&J's two service aces.
Taylor Freeman posted 13 kills while hitting at a .250-clip. 
Nicole Bishwaty posted 10 kills. 
Megan Stoehr and 
Emily Toy tallied 17 and 15 assists, respectively.
Allison Means led the way with 25 digs, one shy of the match high, while Stoehr (17) and Bishwaty (10) were also in double figures. 
Alexis Hilzendeger contributed four blocks on defense and seven kills on offense.
