FULL RESULTSPITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Presidents won nine of 13 events en route to a 156-84 Presidents' Athletic Conference win at Chatham.
With the victory, the Washington & Jefferson women's swimming & diving team improves to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the PAC.
Jenny Matuszewski earned wins in the 1000 (11:33.42) and 500 (5:38.45) freestyle events.
Jessica Sweitzer notched victories in the 100 (55.74) and 200 (2:02.53) events.
Rachel Nye wrapped up the individual freestyle events by sprinting to a 26.27 time in the 50 freestyle to win by .20 over teammate
Madison Babicka.
In the 200 individual medley,
Rachel Murphy earned a four-second victory with a time of 2:22.08 and
Alexandra Martinez collected a victory in the 100 butterfly at 1:03.55.
Jennifer Suder posted the highest score in the three-meter diving portion of the meet, registering a 280.80. Her score was the three-meter diving record at Sigo Falk Natatorium on the Chatham campus and provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Diving Regionals.
W&J opens the home portion of the 2014-15 schedule with a non-conference dual meet against West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday, Nov. 7. Start time at Henry Memorial Natatorium is set for 7 p.m.
