Bellhy Helps W&J Win 15th Game With 22-Point Performance

Box Score GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Beka Bellhy scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help Washington & Jefferson earn a 75-54 road victory at Grove City Wednesday night at the GCC Arena.  Bellhy made 7-of-17 shots from the floor and 8-of-9 free throws. 

The Presidents (15-7, 10-5) led 30-24 at halftime and took control of the game with a 15-4 run to begin the second half.  Valerie Dunlap posted three baskets during the spurt and Bellhy finished off the run with back-to-back buckets. 

W&J's lead never dipped below 11 the rest of the way and the Presidents led by as many as 26 (75-49). 

Kara Seamon had the hot hand on the outside for the Presidents by setting a career high with five three-pointers.  She finished with 16 points (5-of-7 three-pointers) and five assists.  She went over 300 assists for her career as she'll enter Saturday's Senior Day Game versus Chatham (1:00 pm) with 302. 

Dunlap added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  The W&J defense limited Grove City (7-15, 5-10 PAC) to 34 percent shooting (21-of-62), while the Presidents shot 41 percent (26-of-63).  W&J knocked down 8-of-17 three-point attempts and held a 45-38 advantage on the glass.  

Kathryn Erbelding was the lone Wolverine in double figures with 14 points.
