Presidents drop 2-1 decision at Wooster

Box Score WOOSTER, Ohio -- Lauren Hancher assisted on the Fighting Scots' first goal before adding her own tally in the second half to lead Wooster past Washington & Jefferson 2-1 in a non-conference women's soccer match Wednesday evening.

Wooster (5-2) began the scoring in the ninth minute when Hancher passed to Lily Mohre for a 1-0 advantage.  The lead remained that way until Hancher struck in the 66th minute.

The Presidents (1-4) quickly got back into the match just under three minutes later when Tatiana Ruzzini scored the fourth goal of her rookie season.  Megan Ochsenreiter assisted on the goal for her first career point.  However, the Fighting Scots' defense clamped down from that point and did not allow a shot the rest of the way.

Wooster had 15 of the game's 25 total shots and Elizabeth Clark stopped four of the Presidents' shots on goal.  Morgan Kinyon suffered the loss after posting five saves.
