WASHINGTON, Pa.-- The Washington & Jefferson women's soccer team clinched at least a second place berth and one home playoff game in the Presidents' Athletic Conference playoffs following their 3-1 victory over the Westminster Titans.

Sophomore
Jordan Toohey got the scoring started with a goal in the 26th minute of the game off a miscue by Westminster's goalkeeper. That marks Toohey's 27th goal of the season.

In the 35th minute, W&J's
Josie Madden knocked in her third goal of the season off an assist by
Mariah Lockard to wrap up the scoring in the first half.

Westminster answered fairly quickly in the second half off a goal by Rylie Shaw in the 54th minute to bring the Titans within one, but a late goal in the 89th minute by Lockard solidified the victory for the Presidents. Lockard secured her fifth goal of the season.

W&J's Alison Rhinehimer picks up another win, moving to 10-1-1 on the season in goal.

With this win, the Presidents move to 14-1-1 on the season, tying both the 2010 and 2011 squads for the second most wins in school history. This victory also ties the 2011 team's record for the longest win streak in W&J history at 11.

The Presidents travel to Crestview Hills, Kentucky this Sunday, November 1 to take on the Thomas More Saints in a game that will determine the top seed in the PAC. The game is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
