WASHINGTON, PA- In Washington & Jefferson's final match before it begins conference play, the Presidents fell 5-0 to Maryville (Tenn.).
Only down by one at the half, the Presidents were unable to recover in the second period, bringing their record to 5-3-2.
Maryville led in shots 24-10 with 13 hitting the cage and
Benny Wilt was there to make eight saves.
Samuel Dudley took two shots that both hit their mark, but couldn't make it past the Maryville keeper. Also shooting two, with one landing on-goal, was
Tyler Rapposelli.
Alex Blout was able to get a shot off in the first half that was saved by Maryville's Jon Taylor.
W&J will begin their conference play at home against Grove City on Oct. 7 at 7:30 pm.
