WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson will take on Grove City in the semifinals of the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament on Tuesday, November 3 at Alexandre Stadium at 7:00 pm.
W&J enters the tournament as the second seed with an overall record of 14-2-1 and a PAC record of 8-1-0. Grove City is the third seed in the conference with a season record of 11-5-3 and a league record of 6-1-2. The Presidents won the regular season meeting between the two squads, 3-2, at Alexandre Stadium on Oct. 7.
Jordan Toohey ended the 2015 regular season as the league-leader in goals with 27 (third in all of Division III), while
Josie Madden led the league with 12 assists (sixth in Division III).
A win against the Wolverines would move the Presidents into the Championship match on Nov. 7. Their opponent will be determined by the match between the number four seed Westminster and the number one seed Thomas More on Nov. 3 at 2:00 pm in Crestview Hills, Ky.
There will be a free shuttle from the Rossin circle from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm to the match with the shuttle making a loop to Alexandre Stadium every 15 minutes.The first 50 students who take the shuttle will receive a free W&J rally towel.
Tickets to the game are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students.Â
W&J students will be admitted free with their College ID. Neither PAC nor W&J season passes are accepted to championship events. Additionally, game programs will be sold for $1.
