W&J to host "Pink Game" versus Saint Vincent


WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's basketball program will host its annual "Pink Game" this Wednesday, Feb. 11 when it welcomes Saint Vincent to the Henry Center.

In addition to wearing pink warm-up t-shirts and other accentuating items, the Presidents will be selling pink ribbons and t-shirts in the Henry Memorial Lobby, as well as a hosting a bake sale. 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold throughout the night with the winner announced at halftime. All proceeds from Wednesday night will benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.

Fans of both teams attending the game are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer research and awareness.

The Presidents' Athletic Conference contest is scheduled to tip-off at 8 p.m. when two of the top teams in the league battle for positioning in the upcoming conference tournament.

Saint Vincent enters the game 19-2 overall and 13-1 in the PAC while maintaining second place. W&J is 16-5 on the season and 10-4 in league action and currently holds the number three spot in the league.
