NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball season came to a close with a 79-63 loss at Westminster in the opening game of the 2014-15 Presidents' Athletic Conference tournament.

With the loss, the Presidents end the season with a 2-24 overall record after recording a 1-15 mark in league action. The Titans advance to play at top-seeded Saint Vincent on Tuesday after improving to 7-19.

W&J built the lead to nine points multiple times in the first half, topping out on a layup by
Mike Resnik at 5:56 to push the margin to 27-18. From that point, the Titans closed the opening period on a 19-6 run to hold a 37-33 advantage at halftime.

In the second half, Westminster built the lead to as large as 14 points after a three-pointer by Matt Getsy at 7:17. A
Tyler Haas triple at 2:22 made it a five-point game, 67-62, but the hosts closed the contest with 12 of the final 13 points for the 79-63 win.

Brian Lindquist led three Presidents in double figures with 16 points and also pulled down six rebounds. Resnik scored 15 points before fouling out and
Doug Johnson connected on four-of-six three-point attempts to finish with 12 points.
Mitch Locher pulled down a game-best nine rebounds and also scored eight points.
