WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College Head Men's Basketball Coach Glenn Gutierrez announced his resignation on Monday.

Gutierrez served as the Presidents' basketball coach for nine years.  During the 2008-09 season, he helped W&J win the ECAC Division III South Tournament Championship which capped the second 20-win season in program history.

"We want to thank Coach Gutierrez for his nine years with our men's basketball program," said Interim Co-Director of Athletics Scott McGuinness.  "We wish him and his family the best in their future endeavors."

McGuinness said that a search for the Presidents' next head men's basketball coach will begin immediately.
