LATROBE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson women's lacrosse team was eliminated from the inaugural Ohio River Lacrosse Conference tournament by Thiel, 14-7.
With the loss, the Presidents, seeded third in the tournament, end the year with a 9-5 overall record after finishing 7-2 in the league during the regular season. Thiel improves to 11-6 after going 8-1 in conference matches.
The Presidents trailed, 10-2, at halftime and were unable to recover from the deficit, despite outscoring the Tomcats, 5-4, in the second half.
Caroline Kallos led W&J with three goals, while
Diana Harvey added two scores.
Alex Dikos and
Ashley Bulger each found the back of the net once. Kallos, Harvey and Bulger each tallied an assist.
Kelsey Roetenberg made 10 saves in the loss.
