Box Score 2 GREENVILLE, PA.—Washington & Jefferson volleyball traveled to Greenville to play in a double-header against Thiel and Saint Vincent, coming away with 3-1 wins from both.
The two wins move the Presidents to 7-6 on the season and 4-3 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
W&J secured the first win of the day with game scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-18, 25-15.
Nicole Bishwaty connected with 18 kills and 18 assists.
Emily Toy charged the offense with a match-high 24 assists.
For the defense,
Allison Means led with 18 digs, with
Katheryn Rotthoff adding 13.
The Presidents faced-off against Saint Vincent next, with game scores that consisted of 25-22, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.
Toy was once again steady on offense, registering 33 assists. Bishwaty paced the attack with 15 kills and 13 assists.
Defensively, Means and
Sarah Dindak each contributed 29 and 22 digs, respectively.
Dindak was also able to put up seven kills. In addition,
Brooke Lininger and
Abigail Eich each had six kills of their own in the Presidents' victory.
W&J Volleyball will head to Steubenville, Ohio next to take on Franciscan in a nonconference matchup on Sept. 28, at 7:00 pm.
