How it Happened: W&J men's and women's swimming and diving teams both started off 2016 with wins, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup against Bethany. Eight Presidents had multiple first place finishes, helping the men top the Bison 148-104, while the women had final score of 129-79.

Top Performers: Laura Travers,
Madison Babicka, and
Nicholas Willison came away with three first place finishes each. Not only were all three a part of their respective winning 400 medley relay teams, but Travers also placed first in the 200 freestyle (2:09.23) and the 500 freestyle (5:45.00) while Babicka was victorious in the 50 freestyle (25.81) and the 100 freestyle (57.69) for the women, and N. Willison took the 100 backstroke (55.84) and the 200 backstroke (2:01.75) for the men.

Matt Noel and
Jack King were each awarded a pair of first place finishes. Individually, Noel timed 1:00.34 in the 100 butterfly, while also assisting in the 400 medley relay. King contributed with a 17:45.95 in the 1650 freestyle and a 51.96 in the 100 freestyle.

Alexis Glenn and
Jenny Matuszewski picked up a pair of wins for the women. Glenn was a part of the winning 400 medley relay team while also leading in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:02.68. Matuszewski finished first in the 1650 freestyle at 19:21.23 and timed at 5:07.87 in the 400 individual medley.

Josh Vasko led men's diving in both events, scoring 230.00 in the one meter and 202.70 in the three meter.

Haley Ashner topped women's diving in the 3 meter with a score of 189.95.

The Rest: For the men,
Zach Lauer,
Gordy Schroeder and
Tyler Willison all posted wins. Lauer assisted in the men's 400 medley relay (3:52.54), while Schroeder places first individually in 200 freestyle (1:50.70) and T. Willison timed at 5:16.04 in the 500 freestyle.

For the women,
Ann O'Connor grabbed a win as a part of the women's 400 medley relay (4:26.18) and Elizabeth Klock placed first in the 100 backstroke at 1:03.52.
