WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson baseball team was held in check offensively for the third-straight game, dropping the series finale to Waynesburg, 5-2.
Ryan Sciullo had the lone multi-hit game for the Presidents, recording a pair of extra-base hits with a double and triple, while also scoring a run.

Dan Trettel and
Michael Ruffing each notched a base knock, with Merlino's hit being a pinch-hit RBI single in the eighth.
Joe Palumbo also drove in a run.
Derek Helbing took the loss in his first career start on the mound, dropping to 0-1. He worked the first 3.1 innings, giving up five hits and four earned runs, while striking out three and walking two.
Bryce Schnatterly worked a scoreless 1.2 innings, giving up two hits.
Riley Groves finished out the final 3.0 innings, allowing two hits and a solo homer with a walk and strikeout.
The Yellow Jackets built a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning, but the Presidents tried to chip away with single runs in the seventh and eighth innings. A solo homer in the bottom of the eighth for Waynesburg gave the hosts an insurance run and the eventual final of the game.
W&J drops to an even 14-14 overall and 8-7 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference. Waynesburg is now 11-18 on the year and 9-6 in the PAC.
The Presidents will host Saint Vincent on Saturday, April 23, for a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m.
