Pioneers top Presidents 10-6 in ORLC Championship

LEXINGTON, K.Y. – Washington & Jefferson dropped a 10-6 decision to Transylvania in the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference Championship.

Kyle Heinig led W&J, scoring three of the six goals, including the game-opening goal at 12:31 in the first quarter, and two assists.

Jacob Bow and Devon Curran also each tallied one for the Presidents in the first, ending the quarter with Transylvania ahead, 4-3.

The beginning of the second quarter saw W&J tie it up with Heinig's second goal, but the Pioneer's answered with four consecutive goals of their own to take the lead once more for the rest of the game.  

Zach Fredericks posted a goal at 8:00 in the fourth quarter, while Heinig captured his hat trick at 1:17 to end the game for the Presidents.

In net, Jacob Succop notched 13 saves while picking up three ground balls.
