LEXINGTON, K.Y. – Washington & Jefferson dropped a 10-6 decision to Transylvania in the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference Championship.
Kyle Heinig led W&J, scoring three of the six goals, including the game-opening goal at 12:31 in the first quarter, and two assists.
Jacob Bow and
Devon Curran also each tallied one for the Presidents in the first, ending the quarter with Transylvania ahead, 4-3.
The beginning of the second quarter saw W&J tie it up with Heinig's second goal, but the Pioneer's answered with four consecutive goals of their own to take the lead once more for the rest of the game. Â
Zach Fredericks posted a goal at 8:00 in the fourth quarter, while Heinig captured his hat trick at 1:17 to end the game for the Presidents.

Jacob Succop notched 13 saves while picking up three ground balls.
