How it Happened: The Washington & Jefferson women's swimming and diving team came away with two wins against Hiram and Franciscan while the men also picked up a win over Hiram on Saturday, Jan. 21, in a nonconference tri-meet.

Chloe Magyari (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) won two individual events on the day in the 50 (31.50) and 100 butterfly (1:09.75) while
Jillian McElhaney (Butler, Pa./Butler Area) was victorious in the 50 backstroke (34.49) and the runner-up in the 100 individual medley (1:13.71). On the men's side,
Owen Hanna (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) helped the Presidents to two relay wins, anchoring the 200 medley relay (1:58.93) behind
Zach Lauer (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin),
Brannon Boyd (Dover, Pa./Home-schooled) and
Ian Geister (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) while swimming the second leg in the 200 freestyle relay (1:47.57) along with
Tyler Willison (Rockford, Mich./Rockford), Geister and
Jeremy Glasner (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area).

Madison Babicka (Demotte, Ind./Kankakee Valley) was victorious in the 50 freestyle (29.51),
Hayley Georgetti (Washington, Pa./Linsly) won the 50 breaststroke (40.43) and
Maris Leonard (Pittsburgh, Pa./Greensburg-Salem) finished first in the 200 freestyle (2:24.86) to round out the individual women's winners.
Rachel Nye (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg) anchored the winning 200 medley relay (2:18.05) behind
Paige Adams (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin),
Victoria Metz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) and Babicka.
Kaitlyn Pawcio (Johnstown, Pa./Westmont Hilltop) and
Haley Ashner (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) took first place in the diving events with Pawcio winning the one meter dive (249.25) and Ashner winning the three meter dive (234.10). For the men, Boyd won the 100 breaststroke (1:17.56),
Joshua Emde (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway West) won the 200 freestyle (2:13.84) and
Tyler Willison (Rockford, Mich./Rockford) won the 50 backstroke (28.81) while
Theo Skoric (Vanderbilt, Pa./Laurel Highlands) was victorious in the one meter dive (220.25).
