WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team lost on Thursday night, Jan. 5, a 101-64 decision to Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Thiel.
Brian Graytok (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) led the Presidents' offense with 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting while
Brian Lindquist (Narvon, Pa./Pequa Valley) finished the game with 11 points, hitting all three shots from the field, while also pulling in five boards.
Sean Stinelli (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) recorded 10 points, his fourth double-digit scoring effort of the season, while connecting of 2-of-4 shots from three-point land.
Joe Satira (Munhall, Pa./Serra Catholic) finished with seven points off the bench and connected on 3-of-4 shots from the field while
Matt Kanan (New Paltz, N.Y./New Paltz) and
Terence Martin (Saugus, Mass./Northeast Metro Tech School) both scored six points and combined to shoot 3-for-5.
Jonathan DeVito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) recorded a team-high three assists while Graytok, Satira, Stinelli and
Mike Zappala (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) each came away with a steal.
As a team, the Presidents scored 26 points in the paint for the game and were able to convert 15 Tomcat turnovers into 17 points while the bench provided 29 points.
The Presidents will return to the court on Saturday, Jan. 7, when they face-off against Chatham in PAC action at 3 p.m.
