W&J scored first with 13 seconds remaining in the first half when
Ashton Grimm (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville/St. Francis (Pa.)) flicked in her team-leading eighth goal of the season off a cross by
Karli-Ann Sanders (Newcomerstown, Ohio/New Philadelphia).

The Presidents needed just 1:27 into the second half to strike for a second time as
Chandler Marteeny (Somerset, Pa./Somerset) controlled a poor clear attempt by the Golden Tornadoes and turned to score. In the 64th minute,
Jordan Toohey (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant/St. Francis (Pa.)) matched Grimm's goal to regain the tie for the team lead with her eighth goal of the year, assisted by
Nicole Walters (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley), to extend the lead to 3-0.

In a 3:05 span late in the match,
Josie Madden (Elizabeth, Pa./Elizabeth Forward) scored her sixth of the year on an assist by
Tatiana Ruzzini (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) and Ruzzini capped the scoring in the 88th minute with her fourth goal of the season and 40th of her career, 5-0.

For the match, the Presidents held a 17-3 advantage on shots, including 13-0 on goal. It marked the third time this season, and second-straight match, that W&J held its opponent without a shot on goal. Ruzzini's four shots were a match high, with Toohey adding three and Madden, Grimm and
Lexey Finney (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) each posting a pair of shots.

Allison Rinehimer (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) and
Beth Boyles (Dundee, Ohio/Hiland) split the halves in goal, with neither needing to make a save on the afternoon. The victory improves Rinehimer's record to 6-4-1 and was her 27th career victory.

W&J will travel to Thiel on Monday, Oct. 16 for a 7 p.m. match in a make-up of the match that was postponed from Sept. 30 after a viral outbreak on Thiel's campus.
