Moyer gives strong performance at National Championships

ELSAH, Ill. – Washington & Jefferson junior Harley Moyer (Akron, Ohio/Firestone) posted a 41st-place finish out of 279 participants at the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 18.

Moyer finished the 8,000-meter course in a time of 25:00.75 and competed as an individual at the event, running as not only the lone W&J participant, but the only competitor from a Presidents' Athletic Conference-member institution.

To qualify as an All-American, a runner must place in the Top-40 in the event. Moyer finished just one spot away and only 0.29 second behind the 40th-place finisher and would have been just the second runner, first male, in W&J Cross Country history to earn All-America honors.
