How it Happened: Four Presidents finished in the top eight as the Washington & Jefferson men claimed the crown at the 2017 Westminster Fisher Invitational.
Harley Moyer (Akron, Ohio/Firestone) paced the squad by claiming second place and timing at 25:42.10.
Maggie Briceland (Salem, Ohio/United Local) was the top finisher on the women's side, placing 35th in 25:32.92.
Top Finishers: Moyer finished second, but was joined in the top eight by
Grant McCarthy (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) in fourth and rookies
Trey Razanauskas (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) and
Ben Heim (Washington, Pa./Washington) in fifth and eighth, respectively. McCarthy timed in 26:13.56, Razanauskas 26:21.98 and Heim 26:45.62.
The Rest: On the women's side,
Hannah Lacey (Brownsville, Pa./Beth-Center) crossed the finish line 42nd place in 25:52.88.
Hannah Robart (Johnstown, Pa./Westmont Hilltop) scored 49th-place points for W&J with her time of 26:24.29, while
Payton McAninch (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) crossed the finish line fourth for the Presidents at 26:53.16.
What's Next: Both W&J squads will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Bethany Bison Invitational.
