Box Score 2 LATROBE, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson volleyball team defeated Saint Vincent by a 3-0 set score (25-20, 25-19, 25-19) before falling to Thomas More in four sets by scores of 25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference tri-match hosted by Saint Vincent on Saturday, Sept. 16.

The Presidents' overall record sits at 4-6 with a 3-3 PAC record after the Saturday split.

In the W&J sweep of Saint Vincent,
Madison Lydic (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) led the team with 13 kills on a .478 hitting percentage while
Abbey Eich (Greencastle, Pa./St. Maria Goretti (Md.)) finished off 10 kills and hit .391 in the match.

Mallory O'Brien (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) tallied 31 assists and
Makenzie Coughlin (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick) and
Katie Conner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Vincentian Academy) recorded 13 and 11 digs, respectively.

Against Thomas More, Eich was the team leader in kills as she finished with 11 on a .290 hitting percentage.

O'Brien totaled 26 assists in the match and recorded 10 digs on defense while Coughlin led W&J with 24 digs against the Saints.
Julia Galbraith (Pittsburgh, Pa./Vincentian Academy) finished with 18 digs and Conner racked up 10.

The Presidents will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 16, when they travel to La Roche for a 7:00 p.m. nonconference match.
