GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson men's and women's swimming & diving teams both fell in a Presidents' Athletic Conference dual meet at Grove City on Saturday, Jan. 27, by scores of 150-95 on the women's side and 132-97 for the men.

The women were led by
Alexis Glenn (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) and
Kaitlyn Pawcio (Johnstown, Pa./Westmont Hilltop). Glenn won the 50 backstroke (29.29) and was runner-up in the 100 backstroke (1:03.14) while also helping the 200 freestyle relay (1:48.96) to a win with
Jillian McElhaney (Butler, Pa./Butler Area),
Delaney Burke (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) and
Tara O'Toole (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills). Pawcio won both diving events, posting respective scores of 241.80 and 236.15 on the one- and three-meter boards.

Victoria Metz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) and O'Toole also logged individual wins for the W&J women as Metz was first in the 50 butterfly (31.19) and O'Toole in the 500 freestyle (6:03.81). O'Toole, McElhaney and
Alexandria Daum (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) added a second-place finish each in the 1650 freestyle (20:48.27), 50 breaststroke (33.36) and 500 freestyle (6:06.73), respectively.

For the men,
Jared Rebman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) won the 100 breaststroke (1:10.41) and finished second in the 50 butterfly (28.84) while also swimming the third leg for the victorious 200 freestyle relay (1:36.16) with
Zach Lauer (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin),
Theo Skoric (Vanderbilt, Pa./Laurel Highlands) and
Owen Hanna (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin).
Jeremy Glasner (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area) came away with wins in the 500 freestyle (5:17.33) and the 400 individual medley (4:37.51) plus a second-place finish in the 100 butterfly (58.75).

Matt Noel (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) and Lauer rounded out the top individual swimmers as Noel won the 50 butterfly (26.35) and Lauer winning the 100 backstroke (55.74) to go along with a third-place effort in the 200 freestyle (1:53.12). Skoric was victorious on both diving boards, posting a score of 220.45 at one meter and 180.75 at three meters.

Both swimming & diving teams will close out their regular season schedules on Saturday, Feb. 3, when they travel to compete in the Chatham Invitational at 11:00 a.m.
