Men's Basketball unable to overcome sluggish start at Juniata, 69-62

Box Score HUNTINGDON, Pa. – After a sluggish start by both teams that saw just 39 combined points in the first half, the Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team dropped a 69-62 nonconference contest at Juniata.
 
With the loss, the Presidents fall to 2-3 on the season, while the Eagles improve to an even 2-2.
 
W&J trailed, 22-17, through the first 20 minutes of the contest as both teams struggled to light the scoreboard. The two squads combined for 92 points in the second half, with Juniata leading 47-45 in that department.
 
Primo Zini (Morgantown, W. Va./Trinity Christian) went off for 25 points behind an 8-of-11 showing from the field and 8-of-9 from the free-throw line. He also led the Presidents for five rebounds. Jonathan DeVito (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) was second on the team with nine points, while Adam Alexander (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland).
 
W&J returns to the court at Hiram as nonconference action continues at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24.
