GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Presidents never led in a 15-4 loss against Grove City in the first ever meeting in men's lacrosse for the two squads.
Despite the loss, Washington & Jefferson is still 3-1 in the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference and drops to 4-7 overall this season. The Wolverines improved to 5-2 on the year and 2-1 within the league.
Pat Heidecker (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) scored all four of W&J's goals to provide the offensive attack for the Presidents.
Patrick Brunner (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Saint Joseph) provided a pair of assists on the day.
Joseph Tritschler (New Kensington, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) picked up a game-high nine ground balls, his fourth game this year with at least nine GBs. Goalkeeper
Noah Cohen (Hewlett, N.Y./George W. Hewlett) picked up seven GBs to go with his 16 saves, his eighth double-digit performance in 2018.
Michael Aaron Pray III (Gaithersburg, Md./Maret School (D.C.)) won 13-of-22 face-offs and collected six ground balls.
The Presidents will take on another first-year program on Saturday, April 7 when they welcome Chatham to Alexandre Stadium at 1 p.m.
