WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College swimming & diving teams faced off with Saint Vincent College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference dual meet Friday night at the Henry Natatorium.

The men fell by a 143-88 score while the women dropped a 143-63 decision.

Sophomore Colin Higinbotham (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) and freshman Sarah Marshall (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) recorded multiple first place finishes to highlight the meet for the Presidents.

On the men's side, Highinbotham performed well in the short races, as the sophomore touched the wall first in the 50 Free (22.58). He later added the top time in the 50 Fly, clocking in at 23.62.

Dean Kralic (Beaver Falls, Pa./Riverside) added a victory for the Presidents in the 50 Back, as the sophomore came in with a time of 27.10. Sophomore Andrew Ivory (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars) registered a runner-up finish in the 50 Breaststroke, touching the wall just off the pace with a time of 31.27. Mark Nikitine (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) recorded a second place finish in the 100 Back, as the freshman logged a time of 1:01.05. Nick Belofsky (Aurora, Ohio/Aurora) was runner-up in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 53.67.

The W&J men concluded the evening with a first place finish in the 200 Free Relay. The quartet of Belofsky, Alex Lee (Los Angeles, Calif./Eagle Rock), Kralic and Higinbotham compiled a time of 1:51.88 to narrowly edge the Bearcats.

For the women, Sarah Marshall (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) recorded a pair of decisive victories to lead the way. Marshall raced her way to wins in the 50 Breaststroke (33.97) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:13.31).

Kimber Randolph (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) recorded a pair of second place finishes for the Presidents. The sophomore clocked in with a time of 1:07.26 in the 100 Fly and touched the wall in 1:09.46 in the 100 Backstroke.

Freshman Isabella Manzari (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) finished as the runner-up in both the 100 Free (1:00.05) and the 200 Free (2:09.03).

The W&J women finished the night with a second place finish in the 200 Free Relay. The quartet of Marshall, Katelyn McKiernan (Columbus, N.J./Pennington), Randolph and Manzari timed in at 1:51.88. That time was less than a half second behind the top team from Saint Vincent. Manzari used a strong effort on the final leg (26.27) to nearly pull off the victory for W&J.

W&J returns to competition on Dec. 20 when they face King's College during their winter break training trip to Cocoa Beach, Fla.
