PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's basketball team saw its season come to a crushing end on Tuesday evening with a 55-54 loss to Chatham in the PAC Championship Tournament Quarterfinals.

The defeat set W&J's record at 10-16 to end 2018-19, the most wins by the Presidents since the 2013-14 campaign.

After a back-and-forth affair for most of the game, the contest was decided in the final minutes. The Presidents found themselves ahead 51-47 with 1:49 remaining following a pair of layups by Nicholas Campalong (Sewickley, Pa./Ambridge). 

After Chatham answered with four straight points to tie the score at 51-all, Zach Queen (Jeannette, Pa./Hempfield Area) gave W&J back the lead, 54-51, with a corner three-pointer with 25 seconds left on the clock. 

Unfortunately for the Red & Black, this trey went down as the team's final points. The Cougars scored the last four points of the bout to steal a 55-54 victory. 

The first half of tonight's game saw both teams struggle to get their offenses going. The Cougars owned a slim 28-26 advantage at the break. Despite trailing, W&J outshot Chatham, going 12-for-25 (48.0 percent) from the floor. The Presidents held the Cougars to 10-for-30 (33.3 percent) shooting. 

These offensive struggles persisted throughout the game, as both teams had a difficult time trying to figure out their opponent's defense. Although they took the loss, the Presidents outshot Chatham by going 23-for-55 (41.8 percent) from the floor, compared to Chatham going 21-for-54 (38.9 percent). 

In addition to outshooting the Cougars, the Presidents also owned a 35-33 advantage in rebounds.

Cameron Seemann (Loveland, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller) led the way for the Presidents in tonight's defensive battle with a team-high tying 10 points to go along with four rebounds. The sophomore breakout ends the season with a team-high 15.6 points-per-game average, W&J's highest mark since Brian Graytok averaged 15.7 points in 2015-16. Seemann also ends 2018-19 leading the team in rebounds per game (5.1). 

Queen tied Seemann on the stat sheet with 10 points in 27 minutes of action. Queen added two more three-pointers to his single-season program record, giving him 80 to end the year. He currently leads the PAC in made three-pointers, with 17 more than his next closest competitor. 

Okikiola Agbale (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) was next on the team with seven points tonight. Agbale also hauled in a team-high seven rebounds to go along with one assist and one block in one of his most well-rounded performances of the season.

Primo Zini (Morgantown, W. Va./Trinity Christian) capped off his impressive freshman campaign with six points and four boards in 22 minutes. The product of Morgantown, W. Va. finishes the year second on the team with 11.3 points per game. 

Senior Sven Zepic (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) brings an end to his collegiate career with four points, two rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes. He closes his career with 237 points, 161 rebounds and 126 assists while donning the Red & Black.
