WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women's tennis team closed the 2018-19 season with a 7-2 loss to visiting Allegheny College in a non-conference match at the Janet Swanson Tennis Center.
The Presidents picked up two victories in singles play, as
Maya Krishnasamy (Ventura, Calif./Ventura) recorded a straight-set victory at the top spot, with scores of 6-1, 6-2.
Caitlin Shellhamer (Birdsboro, Pa./Daniel Boone) tallied the other W&J win at fourth singles. The junior claimed the victory by a 6-1, 6-2 score.
With its lone match of the Spring in the books, W&J wraps up its season with an 11-7 overall record.
