WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 victory over Bethany College Thursday evening in the Presidents' Athletic Conference opener for both squads. 
 
The Presidents were dominant in the match, as they did not drop a set in any of the nine flights. 
 
W&J swept through the three doubles matches. The top tandem of Maya Krishnasamy (Ventura, Calif./Ventura) and Isabella Goldman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) earned an 8-4 victory, while Jade Annaldo (North Kingstown, R.I./Scituate) and Vanesa Hyde (Manns Choice, Pa./Chestnut Ridge) won 8-0 at second doubles and the duo of Megan Berard (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and Saipriya Potluri (West Fargo, N.D./West Fargo) cruised to claim an 8-0 decision at third doubles. 
 
Krishnasamy met little resistance at first singles, as the sophomore won 6-0, 6-3. Meanwhile, Goldman took the second singles match by a 6-1, 6-0 score. Berard (Third Singles), Annaldo (Fourth Singles), Hyde (Fifth Singles) and Potluri (Sixth Singles) each won by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores at their respective positions. 
 
The win improves W&J to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference. Bethany drops to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the league. 
 
The Presidents return to action against Division II West Liberty University on Friday, Sept. 13. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
