WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson College head football coach Mike Sirianni recently announced a few changes to his coaching staff.

Sirianni announced the promotion of Phillip Bobich to full-time assistant football coach. Bobich will now serve as Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach.

"Phil is a product of our program," Sirianni said. "He was an accomplished player on the field and he has continued that success now as a member of our coaching staff. He worked hard for us as an intern coach last year and hard work should be rewarded."

Bobich is in his second season as a member of the coaching staff, as he served as an Intern Assistant Coach during the 2019 season. Bobich was a standout four-year member of the program from 2015-18, earning All -Presidents' Athletic Conference honors as an offensive lineman during both his junior and senior seasons.

A 2019 W&J graduate, Bobich earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration.

Additionally, Shawn Glosek joins the W&J football staff as an Intern Assistant Coach. He will be assigned to work with the tight ends.

Glosek comes to W&J from Dickinson College, where he served as the wide receivers coach since June 2019. He coach two All-Centennial Conference wide receivers during the 2019 season with the Red Devils. He oversaw the recruitment of student-athletes from Scranton, Pa. and Central Pa. in addition to student-athletes from Illinois and California.

"We are excited that Shawn comes from a good academic program in Dickinson," Sirianni said. "We look forward to what he can bring to the table here at W&J."

Prior to his time at Dickinson, Glosek worked in roles at Lehigh University and Kutztown University. Before that he was an assistant coach for Bethlehem Catholic High School, who earned the District XI Championship and reached the PIAA Semifinals in 2017. He worked primarily with the offensive line and special teams unit while at Bethlehem Catholic. He earned his bachelor's degree in Communications from Kutztown University in 2019.
