Presidents Roll to Fourth-Straight Win at Thiel

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women's basketball team outscored Thiel in all four quarters and cruised to its fourth-straight win 77-39 over the Tomcats on Saturday afternoon.
 
W&J moves to 14-7 overall and 9-4 in league play while Thiel falls to 0-21, 0-12 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action.
 
W&J led wire-to-wire in the Presidents' largest margin of victory in season. The Red and Black held the Tomcats to a season-low for an opponent with 39 points.
 
The Presidents established a 27-13 halftime lead before a 31-point third quarter pushed the President advantage above 30 points. W&J shot a blistering 11-of-14 (78.6 percent) in the period.
 
Alie Seto (Allison, Pa./Brownsville), Piper Morningstar (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) and Victoria Koeck (Sidman, Pa./Forest Hills) all scored in double-figures for the Presidents.
 
Seto led W&J with 14 points, nine rebounds and a career-best six steals. Morningstar had 12 points and a career-high nine rebounds. Koeck knocked down a pair of triples en route to an 11-point day, her second double-digit outing of the season.
 
In all, 10 different Presidents made their way into the scoring column, including eight players with at least six points.
 
W&J racked up 40 bench points and 33 points off 21 Thiel turnovers.
 
After shooting 0-for-9 from three-point range in the first half, W&J shot 9-of-14 from deep in the second half.
 
The Presidents carry their season-best four-game win streak into a Wednesday night matchup with Waynesburg at the Salvitti Family Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
