Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

W&J dominates Saint Vincent to earn first win in Latrobe since 2007

LATROBE, Pa. -- Cameron Seemann (Loveland, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller) poured in game-high 20 points and Jake Livingston (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel) recorded his first collegiate double-double to power W&J to a dominant 78-60 victory over Saint Vincent at the Carey Center.

The victory was the first road win for W&J in Latrobe since 2007, as the Red and Black snapped a 14-game losing streak in the Carey Center. The Presidents knocked down a season-high 11 three-pointers and held a staggering 50-27 edge in rebounding.

W&J was on its game offensively from the get go as Livingston scored eight points and pulled down three offensive rebounds in the first five minutes to help W&J build an early 10-4 lead.

After a score by Saint Vincent, consecutive baskets by Okikiola Agbale (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler), Seemann and Nicholas Campalong (Sewickley, Pa./Ambridge) extended the Presidents' lead into double digits at 16-6.

W&J maintained its lead for the remainder of the half. A three-point basket by Zach Queen (Jeannette, Pa./Hempfield Area) swelled the lead to 29-16, the largest lead of the first half for W&J.

Saint Vincent would use a spurt to cut the W&J advantage to six but a pair of free throws by Agbale sent the Red and Black into halftime with a 34-26 lead.

W&J put the game away in the early minutes of the second half. After five-straight points cut the Presidents' lead back into single digits, Seemann drained three consecutive triples to extend the lead to 55-37 with 14:16 to play. Seemann drained a career-high six three-pointers in the game.

The Presidents would hold a double-digit lead the rest of the way. The closest Saint Vincent would get was 11 points at 60-49. However, the Bearcats were assessed a technical foul. The Presidents took advantage, using a 11-1 run to put the game out of reach.

Queen (13 points) and Campalong (11 points) joined Seemann and Livingston as double figure scorers. Kyran Mitchell ((Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) was once again a factor on the glass, as the sophomore finished with 10 boards.

Osyon Jones led Saint Vincent with 17 points. The Bearcats connected on just 4-of-19 triples and missed on 8-of-16 free throws.

W&J, who improves to 3-1 with the win, hosts Franciscan on Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Salvitti Family Gymnasium. This will be the first meeting between the two schools since the Barons joined the PAC. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.
