WASHINGTON, Pa. -- In conjunction with the Women's Sports Foundation, Wednesday, Feb. 3 marks the 35th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD).
The annual celebration inspires girls and women to play and be active, to realize their full power. This year, with the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization recognizes more than ever the importance of staying mentally and physically healthy during challenging times. The organization invites those to safely celebrate NGWSD in your community and to join the Women's Sports Foundation as they Lead Her Forward in 2021.
We asked a few W&J student-athletes their thoughts on National Girls & Women in Sports Day, what it means to be a student-athlete at W&J and a role model for younger athletes.
