LATROBE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College men's lacrosse team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup at Saint Vincent 21-2 on Sunday afternoon.
The Presidents falls to 2-3 overall, 1-1 PAC. Saint Vincent moves to 7-2 on the season and 2-1 in league play.
Saint Vincent scored the game's first eight goals before
Brendan Tribeck (Enola, Pa./Trinity) put the Presidents on the boar with 3:24 left in the first half.
The Bearcats established a 14-1 halftime lead and scored the first three goals of the second half before
Carter Watts (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) scored with 1:26 left in the third.
Nicholas Grosch (Sarasota, Fla./Butler) had another standout day at the faceoff spot. He went 18-25 at the X with nine ground balls and an assist.
Tribeck and Watts each collected a goal.
Liam Sullivan (Hingham, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) also added an assist.
Henry Beardwood (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum School) made one save in the first quarter and
Brody Alloway (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) made 11 saves over the final three quarters.
W&J hosts Thiel on Wednesday evening.
