Megan Foster honored by USTA/PTR with Community Service Award

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson College head tennis coach Megan Foster was recently honored with a Community Service Award by the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). The award was presented to Foster at the PTR Symposium in Indian Wells, Calif. on Nov. 9-12.

The Community Service Award is awarded to a member who has demonstrated exceptional skill and loyalty in his/her efforts to support and implement programs of PTR, USTA, and TIU.

"This award means a lot because it represents all the dedication, passion and love I have towards tennis and sharing it with the college, the community and every child that walks onto my court," Foster said.  Areas of consideration for the Community Service Award: PTR/USTA conference attendance; promotion of PTR/USTA; clinician work; speaking engagements or publication of articles; PTR/USTA workshops or divisional meetings; USTA Schools Program; USTA League involvement.

Foster has served as W&J's head tennis since the 2020-21 academic year. The women's team finished as the PAC Tournament runner-up in each of her first two seasons (2020-21 and 2021-22). Her certifications include PTR (Professional Tennis Registry), USTA National Early Development Coach, Cardio Tennis Professional and ROGY Expert (12&Under).
