PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson men's lacrosse team won their fourth straight game Wednesday afternoon against La Roche by a 24-2 score.
W&J led 6-0 after the first half before building a 11-1 lead going into halftime. The Presidents outscored the Red Hawks 13-1 in the remaining two quarters.
Alex Strain (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) recorded a career-high eight goals while
Carter Watts (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) recorded a career-high of six goals and also added six assists.
Sean McCaffrey (SIlver Springs, Md./Albert Einstein) and
Zach Mey (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) each recorded three goals for the Red & Black while
Sam Snider (Morgantown, W.VA./University) and
Parker Lucas (Delmar,Del./Delmar) recorded two apiece.
Ronin Keane (Medford, Mass./Arlington Catholic) recorded eight ground balls while
James Deiuliis (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) registered a game-high five caused turnovers.
Henry Beardwood (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) picked up his fourth win in goal this season.
W&J will open conference play on Saturday, April 2 as they will travel to Steubenville, Ohio to face off against Franciscan. Face-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
