WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Saint Vincent outscored W&J in each of the four quarters Wednesday evening as the visitors claimed a 17-6 win in a Presidents' Athletic Conference men's lacrosse match at Alexandre Stadium.
The loss drops W&J to 5-6 overall and 1-3 in PAC play. Saint Vincent is 9-1 overall and 3-1 in conference games.
Saint Vincent led 5-3 after the first and 8-4 at halftime. The Bearcats put the match away by outscoring the Presidents by scoring 9 of the 11 goals in the second half.
Alex Strain (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) led W&J with three goals and an assist in the loss.
Carter Watts (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) tallied two goals and two assists.
Sean McCaffrey (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) scored the final goal of the night for the Red and Black.
James Deiullis (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Upper Saint Clair) led W&J defensively with six ground balls.
Luke Geister (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) added five ground balls.
Henry Beardwood (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum School) made seven saves in goal.
Tyler Condrasky led the Bearcats with a nine-point effort (6 goals, 3 assists).
W&J returns to action Saturday, April 23 when they travel to Thiel College. Start time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
