HIRAM, Ohio – The Washington & Jefferson College women's volleyball team was swept by Hiram Wednesday in non-conference action in Ohio.

The Presidents dropped the match by scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-12.

Rian Benz (Strongsville, Ohio Holy Name) tallied a team-leading seven kills, tied for team blocks with Lizzie Carmichael (Wyoming, Ohio / Wyoming) at one a piece, and recorded the team's only ace of the evening. Bella Anzevino (Brunswick, Ohio Buckeye) added a team-high 10 digs on the defensive end of things while Adriana Sacramento (Pittsburgh, Pa / Woodland Hills) registered a team-leading 12 assists. 

The Red & Black return to action on Friday, Oct. 6 when they host Westminster. The conference opener is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start in the Salvitti Family Gymnasium.
