MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to Allegheny College Saturday in Meadville.
Allegheny, who claimed the 2022-23 PAC team championship, won all three doubles matches before securing all six singles bouts.
Nidhi Pulicherla (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) battled into a third set before falling at the number one singles spot. Pulicherla won the opening set by a 7-5 score before dropping the second set 6-3. Pulicherla then dropped the decisive third set by a 6-2 margin.
