WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson College Men's Tennis team wrapped their fall slate with a 6-1 loss to Brevard.
The team moves to 1-3 on the fall season, dropping their first home bout of the 2024-25 season.
The Presidents were met with mixed results in doubles play, ultimately losing the team point, 1-0.
Abhinav Yarramaneni (Mountain View, Calif./Los Altos) and
Srivatsa Bellamkonda (Sewickley, Pa./North Allegheny) won their No. 3 doubles match, 6-2, in the Presidents sole doubles victory.
In singles, W&J picked up one win in singles play, dropping the remaining five.
Alex Duing (South Park, Pa./South Park) played to a three-set superbreaker at No. 4 singles. Duing dropped the first set 6-2 but fought back in the second set taking a 6-3 set victory to knot the score at 1-1. Duing reigned victorious in the third set, 10-3.
